It is being carried out by the Applied English Linguistics group at the University of Tuebingen and offers model units to individuals interested in the study.
Virtual Tutors
Rome (IT), September 2010 - "T2 Teaching Tutoring - Intelligent Agents to customize lifelong learning pathways in the microfinance sector" is supported by the European Commission through the Lifelong Learning Programme. It addresses the needs of European microfinance institutions that provide micro-credit to non-bankable micro-enterprises and low-income and marginalized people. Cedefop Study
Thessaloniki (GR), September 2010 - Cedefop's forthcoming study "Skills for Green Jobs" looks at the skills needed to develop a low-carbon economy in six Member States (Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK) and suggests priorities for policy makers.

Barcelona (ES)/Wildau (GER) - September 2010 - The website elearningeuropa.info, an initiative of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture, chose COMBLE as its "Project of the Month". COMBLE'S aim is to improve the quality of blended learning.
Global Campus 21
Bonn (GER), August 2010 - (by Kirsten Seegmüller) Ten years after the launch of their eLearning platform Global Campus 21, the non-profit organization InWEnt, Capacity Building International, started the GC21 E-Academy, where experts and managers all over the world can participate in courses. For developing countries in particular, this means a tremendous step forward in education since many people have not been able to access content due to a lack of infrastructure.

Brussels (BE), June 2010 - The Open Educational Quality Initiative (OPAL) invites participation in a consultation process about Open Educational Practices (OEP). The OPAL project is a new international initiative to promote innovation and better quality in education and training through the use of open educational resources.
Serious Games
Milan (IT), May 2010 - The E-VITA project ("European Life Experiences") - co-funded by the Education and Culture DG under the Lifelong Learning Programme - is to develop and test serious games that let younger generations "live" stories experienced and told by older people. This way, the past can be experienced directly and understood while playing a game that once was a real story.
Outreach
Sheffield (UK), May 2010 - Learning Light is leading an EU-wide consortium of organisations developing effective ways to use eLearning to reach and engage "marginalised" learners. This 300,000-euro project is funded by the EU under the Leonardo Transfer of Innovation scheme.
Electronic Telework
Graz (AT), May 2010 - Bit media has sent out the first newsletter on the European project SEES - "SME's eLearning to E-work Efficiently". The goal of this project, developed under the Leonardo da Vinci programme, is to provide practical and useful support to prepare e-managers and e-workers of SMEs to work in a "virtual environment".
EFQUEL
